Director of Operations

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Processing of administrative payments. Coordinate logistics for optimal route planning.

· Establish charges for delays and movements in port-to-port transfer.

· Planning and monitoring of shipments from origin to final destination. Scheduling of daily and weekly routes.

· Tracking of trips. Implementing planning and monitoring systems for shipments from origin to final destination, including daily schedules, weekly routes, and trip tracking.

· Analyze the movement of containers out of the port for delivery to different cities.

· Using chassis or container transfer. Scheduling of vehicle maintenance.

· Implement strategies to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce operating costs.

· Researching legal requirements to ensure transportation permits and the ability to operate in various states where the company operates.

· Researching of insurance companies is required for daily operation.

· Recruitment of personnel in administrative and logistics areas, including but not limited to mechanics and drivers.

· Preparation of training material for drivers, administrative staff, and traffic personnel.

· Devising a file system for personnel, specifically drivers who are inspected by Federal Transportation Officials.

· Preparation of medical and drug testing processes for drivers and other employees, as needed. Ensuring compliance with all transport and safety regulations. Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, law, supply chain, or related field

Experience Requirements

Two (2) years of experience in transportation and logistics; knowledge of compliance requirements

for transportation permits; experience with coordination of logistics for optimal route planning,

Implementation of efficiency strategies and increasing profitability.
